The acquisition of 45 boxes of material relating to the fine art department at St Martin's School of Art prompted staff to explore ways of resourcing some of its collections work. They also looked at whether some of this work could be integrated with coursework offered by the college.
Over the last three years The National Fairground Archive has undertaken a strategic approach to outreach, linking the archive with teaching and research at the University of Sheffield.
Two projects (2009-2014), funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, which first, studied surviving seal impressions across Wales and second, delivered outreach and public engagements activities, all through informal and formal partnership working.
