QUÉANT -Hindenburg Line 57C NE1.

Quéant became extremely well known to British newspaper readers during a crucial period of the war when the Quéant/Drocourt switch line seemed to feature in every report from the front. Quéant is on the extreme, between the ‘Hindenburg Front Line’ and the ‘Hindenburg Support Line’. On the right hand side runs the Canal du Nord from lock number six to north of lock number four. This wonderful map shows in tremendous detail the massive defences. Places like Inchy-en-Artois, Moeuvres and Pronville must have looked impregnable to soldiers seeing this map for the first time. It will prove to be one of the most popular in the G H Smith and Son catalogue. Note the area, particularly to the west of Lock six on the canal. The trenches are ‘corrected to 6, July, 1917’. Scale of 1:10,000.

P&p for trench-map only orders sent to addresses in the UK costs £0.50p, £1.50 to Europe and £2.00 for Rest of World addresses. Our standard postage rates will apply for combined orders of books and trench maps.
