HONNECOURT 57B SW3 - Hindenburg Line.

Honnecourt is just to the east on the St Quentin Canal. This 1:10,000 map shows the Hindenburg in its awesome detail and, behind it, the opposition parts of the Le Cartèlet-Nauroy Line and, then, the Beaumont-Fonsomme fortifications. Note particularly the machine gun emplacements running from the top of the map to Rancourt Farm and Testiesewood. The sheet depicts the situation as on 19 May, 1917.
