Activity 2: Did Propaganda Change?

In Activity 1 you looked at the kind of propaganda films (Clips A-E) that were produced in 1940-41. You also looked at what they were trying to achieve.

What you have to do

In this activity you are going to examine three more films sponsored by the Ministry of Information from 1942-1944, later in the war. What evidence is there in Clips F, G and H that propaganda films changed as the war went on? Play the clip. Use the recording sheet (PDF, 30KB) to write your conclusions. Use the list of themes on the sheet to help you decide.
