Supplier briefing event - September 2009
On 4 September 2009, The Digital Continuity project held a briefing event for suppliers, at The National Archives. In conjuction with Buying Solutions, we are procuring a framework of tools and services that will help the public sector to use its business information for as long as it needs to, over time and through change. The event gave prospective suppliers the opportunity to hear more about the project and the procurement. This included what digital continuity means, who our customers are and why digital continuity matters to them.
If you were unable to come to the event you may find it useful to read the following documents:
- What digital continuity means and why it matters: Jessie Owen, Head of Digital Continuity; Andrew Stott, Government Director of Digital Engagement; Roger Smethurst, Head of Knowledge and Information Management, the Cabinet Office Simon Tanner, Technical Specialist, Thames Estuary 2100 project.
- Framework, market and Buying Solutions: Nigel Williamson, Procurement Lead; Rob MacLeod, Category Manager, Buying Solutions.
- Supplier briefing fact sheet
- List of attending companies
For more information about the products and services we have been considering, see our Outline Requirements for Consultation document. Whilst the project is hosted by The National Archives, it is not an archival project.
If this does not answer your questions about the procurement, you can email DCSProcurement@nationalarchives.gsi.gov.uk.
Outline requirements for the procurement framework
Please note that our Outline Requirements for Consultation have been published on our website. The consultation period with suppliers ended on 14th September 2009 and has played an important role in developing our understanding. Thank you to all those who responded.
Interested suppliers may still find the information in the document and outline requirements page useful, as it outlines our current thinking about the scope of the procurement and the framework lots.
