This guidance looks at how you can manage electronic records in the absence of any supporting infrastructure such as an electronic record management system (ERMS).
The guidance is not sector specific and can be adopted by any organisation. In any sector there may be specific laws and regulations regarding management and custody of records which will need to be followed in addition to this guidance. Organisations may need to seek additional guidance from regulatory or professional bodies, as well as their own legal advisers.
