Reviews of OPSI investigation

On 30 April 2007 the Advisory Panel on Public Sector Information (APPSI) published its review under Regulation 21 of the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations, of OPSI's investigation of a complaint made by Intelligent Addressing against Ordnance Survey. OPSI issued a statement that sets out the government position.

In 2011-2012 the Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI), part of The National Archives, published a number of reports on The Coal Authority. OPSI has issued a statement to set out how OPSI and The Coal Authority will work together in future.

Webb Report on OPSI complaint handling

Phillip Webb, Expert Member of the Advisory Panel on Public Sector Information (APPSI), has carried out a review of OPSI's complaint handling process under the PSI Regulations. OPSI, part of The National Archives, will be implementing Phillip's recommendations in the coming months. 

The report has been published (March 2011) on the APPSI website.

Corbin Report on the Exception to Marginal Cost Pricing procedure

An independent report into the Exceptions to Marginal Cost Pricing criteria and guidance and its operation in practice was published on 1 July 2013, along with an Executive Summary of the report.

The review was carried out by Chris Corbin, an Advisory Panel on Public Sector Information alumnus with expertise in public sector information. The review examines the system introduced in January 2010 to assess business cases from those Crown bodies that wish to charge above marginal cost. The National Archives will take forward the recommendations in line with the preparations for the transposition of the Directive on the Re-use of Public Sector Information.
