The Advisory Panel on Public Sector Information seeks new members
17 May
The Advisory Panel on Public Sector Information (APPSI) is a non-departmental public body. Its main role is to advise Ministers on how to encourage and create opportunities in the information community for greater re-use of public sector information.
APPSI also advised the Chief Executive of The National Archives about changes in the information industry so that The National Archives can help drive the government's agenda on the re-use of public sector information.
The Panel is currently seeking to recruit five new members, all of whom will be required to have a background in public sector information.
APPSI is looking for:
- a member representing Scotland who is able to present specific Scottish interests and experience,
and four further members with specialist knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- information policy and practice in the NHS
- environmental information policy and practice
- geospatial information and its exploitation
- the developer community
- digital libraries.
