This autumn we will be making some changes to our museum to make it a more welcoming place for all our visitors.

The content of the museum will not be altering a great deal, but there will be some changes to the layout to help make it a brighter, more inviting space and to introduce some new facilities for our award-winning education programme.

As a result, the museum will be closed for four weeks in late autumn. At all other times, disruption will be minimised wherever possible while the changes are taking place. All changes should be completed by January 2013.

If you are planning a trip to The National Archives to visit our museum, please check our website for further updates, or contact us first to avoid any disappointment on your visit.
