Valentina Parker alias Genne-Scott alias Michailovna (catalogue reference: KV 6/123) A journalist who was The Times' correspondent to Czechoslovakia in 1938, Ralph Parker worked for SOE during the early war period. He was interviewed by the intelligence agencies in 1941 who agreed that he had 'a guilty conscience' and should be subjected to further interrogation. Thereafter for many years from 1941 he was Moscow correspondent for several journals including The Times and the Daily Worker.

As a former Intourist interpreter, his Russian-born wife, Valentina, was suspected of being linked to the KGB. KV6/123 contains a short note on Parker's contact in Moscow with the defectors Guy Burgess and Donald Maclean.
