  1. Elizabeth by the grace of God Quene of Englande Fraunce and Irelande defendor of the faith
  2. & etc To the Thresorer and Chambrelaines of o[u]r Exchequer gretinge. We let you wete, that
  3. of suche our threasure as remayneth under your charge and custodie, ye doe deliver and paie or
  4. cause to be delivered and paied to o[u]r trustie and welbeloved servant S[i]r William Pelham
  5. knight Lieutenant of o[u]r Ordinaunce or to his sufficient Deputie the som[m]e of Thirtie,
  6. and fower powndes to be imploied in the provision of certen Ordinaunce and ther Cariage
  7. appointed for the better furniture of a place called St Michaels Mounte in o[u]r Countie of
  8. Cornwall. And these o[u]r l[ett]res etc Yeoven etc.
