Understanding and Developing Audiences for Archives - London

Improving your engagement and communication with your audiences will ensure your archive and the service you offer is appropriate for the communities it serves, and help your archive to be sustainable and progressive.
The National Archives, in collaboration with the Audience Agency, will be running two parallel training workshops on audience development for archives.
Each workshop will focus on two key areas of audience development: identifying and engaging with existing and potential audiences, and understanding how to analyse and evaluate information about audiences.
- Identifying how you find different audiences, by geography, by communities of interest and by subject or theme
- Sharing good practice in engaging audiences
- Creating an audience development plan for your own work
- Demonstrating how you can understand your audiences and your impact on them, in the context of existing data or by creating your own systems
There is no charge to attend the workshops. However, you will need to reserve a place as spaces are limited.
