Filming and images

If you are looking to film or record at The National Archives, please complete an online filming application form.

Although we aim to accommodate your request, demand is high so we do reserve the right to refuse.

We advise that production teams get in touch as early as possible and at least 20 working days before you wish to film.

Filming conditions and fees

Filming is only permitted for up to three hours per day in specific areas. If you would like to arrange an advance look around the building before filming commences, please get in touch. Read our guide to filming fees and our terms and conditions below for more information.
