Public Record Office of Northern Ireland

CollabArchive is a partnership project between the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) and Nerve Centre, supported by National Heritage Lottery Fund. The project aims to encourage a focus on developing digital skills. The project developed volunteer programmes based on themes of women’s history, migration, LGBT history and PRONI’s centenary which was actually this year.

National Library of Wales. The Welsh Women’s Peace Appeal Centenary Campaign

In 1923 the women of Wales organised a campaign for world peace. A total of 390,296 women signed a peace petition which was presented to the women of America and was then preserved at the National Museum of American History, Washington DC. Now, 100 years later the Petition has returned to Wales, and is being catalogued, digitised and exhibited at the National Library of Wales.

Gwent Archives, Glamorgan Archives and Cardiff University Special Collection Archives

Crowd Cymru, a National Lottery Heritage Funded initiative, engaging volunteers to transcribe and annotate digital heritage collections from Gwent Archives, Glamorgan Archives and Cardiff University Special Collections & Archives. This project will transform the global discovery of Wales’s heritage collections and build deep interaction with current and future generations. Over 90 volunteers from various countries have signed up to help with the project.
