The National Archives Trust

The National Archives Trust is an independent charity established to support the education and public engagement reach of both The National Archives and the wider archive sector.

The Trust aims to enable a transformation – via investment and advocacy – in the way people view and engage with archives, making it clear that archives are for everyone and are vitally relevant in supporting democracy.

The Trust has already helped enable the creation of the Clore Learning Centre at The National Archives, the first such education space in a UK archive, which will increase schools’ engagement with history across the country.
